Any new updates on Casey?

No updates yet. He'll be moving home as soon as all the stars align. Tasha has been very busy with OHSET stuff and shows, I need a sawzall in order to take the goat stalls out of the barn and make it into a big run in shed or to even be able to put up a stall. No sawzall to cut through goat paraphenalia that's nailed to the walls, no room for Casey. It sucks. Been so busy funneling money into the custody battle that we've not had time to accomplish any of the things we wanted around the farm.

Looks like a scene from a mystery movie!

Doesn't it? It was both beautiful and creepy. The fog seemed to carry sound really well, you couldn't see more than 10' in front of you and we've got a nasty, senile, aggressive lab in the neighborhood who can get into the vineyard. It was a bit spooky because of her.

When I was little I had heard about hair balls. I thought that they would be like a dust bunny. You know, light and fluffy. I was shocked to see what a real hair ball was! Not light and fluffy at all. I was very disapointed.

I used to think the same thing!

It's nice when they like us for us and not seeing us a a big bag of grain! I'm pretty sure my goats like me with or without food.......I think.....I'm pretty sure.

Grain... Maddie would follow just about anyone, do just about anything (except mind her feeding time manners) for grain. Her previous owner didn't give her grain. So, yeah. She probably does she me as a walking grain feeder.

We just rented this movie on Netflix the other night and really enjoyed it. Of course, I *love* the original Kirk. William Shatner will forever (and ever) be #1 in my book. That said, though, I thought Chris Pine did a good job. I also loved the new actor playing Spock. There was enough physical resemblance to make it eerie. I did get sad, though, seeing how old the "old" Spock has become. So many of the original cast are now gone...

Ah, the Willamette Valley region of Oregon...what a wonderful place! Lived here my whole life - except for when I was living in Germany and Berkeley, California. I found your blog through "Adventures of a Horse Crazed Mind". I look forward to reading some of your adventures. :-)

Welcome! And thanks for stopping by! Chelsi (AOAHCM) is pretty great, isn't she? Well, feel free to pull up a bale of hay and make yourself comfortable!

Soooo...if I came out to Oregon...would you take me horseback riding? It is my love...that I never get to do...

Of course! I've even got some friends that would love to go with us!

It's a shame you aren't riding! So, here's a quote to inspire you:

"A man who wants something will find a way; a man who doesn't will find an excuse" -Stephen Dolley Jr.

I love the snow on your blog!

Can't wait to see pictures if it does snow at your place. I'll try to get up for another visit soon, though its looking like it won't be until after the holidays

Work is CRAZY!

Take care of that mare, I think she's the cutest!

Hehehe! Of course your work is crazy! It's Christmas tree season and Oregon is the biggest supplier of them on the West Coast! Before I moved down here, my friends at TOTE (ships containers and trailers over the water) asked if I wanted a job helping the tree people scale their trucks. I hear they can be really, really dense!

Come visit when you can! You know how to find me!

Oh - hope you don't get too much snow yet... I like easing gently into winter. :-)

We've had unseasonally warm temps here - it's a bit weird. The ground isn't even frozen yet.

I have Helly Hansen thermals and they are great - I've had them for a few years now...

It's been unseasonably warm here as well, until this week. We're not supposed to get more than a couple inches and being the PNW, it's unlikely it will stick around more than 3 days. Of course, last winter was the exception to the rule.
