While some of you, my friends, are participating in NaNoMo this month, I will be much too busy to join you. Why is that? Well, let me give you a hint:
and when I’m all done moving into all that, you will be able to find me here, with a glass of wine:
We move in the weekend before Thanksgiving. I’ve got a lot to pack!
*sigh* kitchen envy, and that fireplace ain’t too bad either… but does it get cool enough in the Southland to use a fireplace?
Um, my hot water pipes froze last winter, remember? I had to move to HOTLANTA to experience that! So, yes, it gets cold. We had 6 weeks of temps in the teens for the highs last winter. And 4″ of snow. And an ice storm!
See, you shouldn’t have done such a good job unpacking all those boxes last year lol
I think I can pack in just 10 days. That’s my goal!
BEAUTIMOUS. Absolutely beautiful.
CDN- yeppers- it does indeed get cold enough to use and enjoy the fireplace in the southland! OS will have nights with heavy frost and a serious need for heat, maybe even some snow and freezing rain where they will be located. 😉
The house is 5 years old and the fireplace has never been used. I’m so excited! Squee!
And I’m with you on the kitchen envy!!!!!!
You can come use my kitchen! When are you coming to visit?
Looks realllllly nice!! Hard to find 12 acres with a house that nice around here without selling a few organs on the black market!!! 🙂
That’s how Oregon is. This same house would go for more than half a million dollars there.
I’m sooo happy for you guys. Can’t wait to hear about your adventures at the new place. Please be sure to try and take lots of pictures, so we can all live vicariously through you! 😀
I have more pics, and will continue taking pics as we progress! More news coming up too!
Wowwww!!! You definitely need to start searching for me 🙂
Is this a rent or lease/purchase? I know you have eventual plans on buying.
Hey where’s the barn pictures!?
This is an owner finance, all sewn up nicely for both parties by a lawyer. 🙂
No barn yet, we’ll put up a run-in for winter and then build our perfect barn in the next couple of years.
What a beautiful place!!!! Reserve one of those bedrooms for me!
You got it! What date would you like? And are we going riding when you’re here?
That is just *super* nice. I absolutely love that kitchen!
There is a second kitchenette downstairs too…
I am soooooo jealous and even more happy for you! Congratulations 🙂 I’d skip NaNoWriMo if I got to move into a beautiful new place like that!
Thanks! I am trying to get all packed in half the time as I had last time. I’m having a hard time keeping up on blogs. I read, but I’m not commenting much. Thinking of you!
That is gorgeous! 4000 sf boggles my mind. Seriously. My house is like 750 sf, with 3 people, 2 cats and a large dog. I wouldn’t know what to do with 4000 sf! 😉 I *would* know what to do with that deck, or the porch…thems the perfect places for sitting with a cup of coffee.
Congratulations!
Our home needs to accomodate 5 people, 4 dogs, 7 cats, a home office (since my husband works from home), a tornado safe place, homeschooling space, etc. My husband really needed the house to work for him, since he works from home. Me? I’d have lived in a shoe box just for the land…
Also, in-law suites seem to be a big deal and the norm here. From my viewpoint, I do have a teenager who will be heading to college soon. This house also gives her an “apartment” to relieve some of the costs associated with school, and yet still have her own space.
Awesomely awesome!!!
Oh yes, trays so cool…pastures, porches, places for pooches! I’m so happy for you…
I got tour mail today too…been thinking about that. 15 is a lot of horses. She should put an add in Craigslist for an available facility.
Congratulations! It looks like a beautiful home. Enjoy!
Ohhh! Ahhh! This is AWEsome – well done for finding this piece of paradise. I hope you all settle in quickly and painlessly, and that you will be very, very happy here for many years.
OH! JOLLY WONDERFUL!!!!
Happy New HOme TO you!!!

Thank you, Linda!
WOW!! That’s what my eyes did when I saw the pics. Beautiful, and congrats!! Looks like a home just waiting for a creative soul to dwell in it.
Oh, the house is GLORIOUS! It looks fabulous, and twelve acres.
About time too. With all the hassles you’ve dealt with in your current place.
Yay new house!
